The NZDHA/NZDOHTA conference was held at the Dunedin Centre on Friday 30th April – Saturday 1st May. It was a great event celebrating 100 years of the NZ School Dental Service, and 25 years since the first class of dental hygienist graduated from Otago Polytechnic.
After last year’s planned event being cancelled due to COVID-19, it was great for everyone to come together again, and meet face to face. There was a strong turnout, with over 300 delegates made up of Oral Health Therapists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Therapists, Orthodontic Auxiliaries and students attending over the two days.
We loved being out and about again, meeting new faces and catching up with old friends, with plenty of people stopping by our stand to say hi.
The Gala Dinner was held at the Toitū Otago Settlers Museum and celebrated the contribution these professions have made to improving the oral health of New Zealanders over the last 100 years.
