To be successful in this role you will need to hold registration in the relevant scope with the New Zealand Dental Council (NZDA), as well as a current Annual Practicing Certificate.

The Dental Council NZ website has all the information you need about registering to work in NZ, including fees, qualifications, and the registration process at  www.dcnz.org.nz. Click on ‘I want to practise in New Zealand’  link on the home page and it will provide you with all the information you need.

Immigration Fast Track Scheme

The immigration fast track helps overseas workers have a more immediate path to residency in New Zealand, known as a Green List.

The green list has a total of 48 health roles including:

  • Dental Specialists
  • Dental Technicians
  • Dentists
  • Dental Therapists
  • Oral Health Therapists

Before an applicant can apply for residency, they must meet the requirements set out in the Green List. If registration is required, this must be obtained before submitting a residence application

Please note, you must be a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or holder of a valid NZ Work Visa to be eligible, otherwise please apply for our  Overseas Clinicians vacancies.
